Selena chose to do a Trash the Dress photo session with us after her wedding. We chose a few different locations in Pittsburgh including an abandoned green space in the West End, under a bridge in the Strip District, and in the Gateway Center and PPG Plaza fountains. The shoot was a lot of fun for everyone involved and Selena said it was a great way to release the pent up stress of the more than a year of wedding planning that was done.

Their Pittsburgh Engagement Photo Session began in Oakland where we shot at the Frick Art building, Heinz Chapel, the famous Pillars on Fifth Avenue, and even took a ride on a Carousel. We then headed over to the North Shore for photos along the river walk before finishing our photo shoot on Mount Washington's Overlooks. Jill & Russ will be getting married in 2012 and we will be there with them all day as their Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers.

Amanda & Rich had their wedding this last weekend in Pittsburgh, Pa. They were a really great couple to work with and were so gracious throughout the day. Their wedding presented me with a challenge… each side of the bridal party had 10 people. As a photographer working with a bridal party this large you must have a commanding presence. Directing and keeping motivated this many people isn’t the easiest task, but we were able to get some great shots.

Their wedding ceremony was held at Heinz Chapel and the reception was just across the street at the Carnegie Museum Music Hall… both of which make for great wedding photos.

The city's rich past and diverse European settlement led to the building of some of the most ornate and elaborate cathedrals I've seen anywhere. Being a Pittsburgh wedding photographer gives me the opportunity to frequent many of these landmarks. This church in particular is the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Polish Hill and is one of my favorites architecturally.

Meghann and Jared had their wedding at the Frick Fine Art Museum here in Pittsburgh. Her dress was very classic and gave me the idea to put a Post-WWII type style into their wedding photographs. The Frick Art Museum offers a plethora of photographic backgrounds for wedding photography. This wrought iron fence really caught my eye and was our last shot of the evening before heading back inside for the remainder of the reception.

This past weekend life brought me to photograph the wedding of Meghann and Jared… a really great couple from Washington DC. They chose to have their wedding at the Frick Art Museum (which had a gallery showcasing original works from legendary photographers such as Ansel Adams, Dorothy Lange, and W. Eugene Smith). It was a crisp Autumn night and the outdoor private couple photo shoot went well. Near the end of the night I noticed Meghann's shoes sticking out from her dress and grabbed this shot.
