A series of pieces produced to illustrate the importance of hand washing to decrease the spread of viruses and bacteria. The agency GatesmanMarmion+Dave came up with the idea and we lit and photographed the hands in hundreds of shapes and positions. The guys at 4 Amoeba in Atlanta then built the finished composites.

In 2007 I traveled for work to San Francisco, California. Our last day of shooting business men ended early and allowed for some play time. We rented bikes from Fisherman's Wharf and made our way out to and across the Golden Gate Bridge. I must admit that crossing that bridge by bicycle was single handedly the most exhilaratingly terrifying experience of my life. Not only is there a constant gale force wind threatening to blow you off, but competitive bicyclists clad in spandex outfits are bearing down on you from every direction.

The terrifying ride though is absolutely worth it once you get to the other side and catch your breath. This shot is from the viewing area on the northern end of the bridge.

WTC Site

This shot was from the vantage point of the top floor boardroom of the Bank of NY Mellon building. We were almost directly over top of Ground Zero. I struck up conversation with one of the maintenance workers and asked him if he witnessed the attacks of September 11th. As it turns out he stood directly where this photograph was taken and watched the whole thing unfold before the mandatory building evacuation sent him home for 2 weeks.

In 2007 I had the pleasure of working on the top floor boardroom of the Bank of NY Mellon building in lower Manhattan. At 50 stories up it had quite a view. This shot is the north view looking towards midtown. Peaking it head up and barely visible in the morning fog is the Empire State Building in the background.

"Child and Sailboat" South Beach, Miami, Florida

In October of 2009 Travis Neely Photography was in South Florida on a shoot for a week. On one of our off days we took the drive to South Beach for a leisurely day at the beach. The sky that day was absolutely magnificent for landscape photography. As I was looking out to sea I noticed the sailboat on the horizon and to my left out of frame I saw the child playing in the waves. I held off for a moment until the child came into frame and completed my composition. I really love the hues and vibrancy of this photograph and consider it to be one of my favorite shots of my career as a photographer. It was on that trip that I realized that the quality of light that South Florida provides is stunning. While shooting a wedding in south Florida I decided to take a drive down to South Beach, Miami. The sky that day was perfect for photography and I loved the way the condo buildings jutted into the sky. The architecture and design elements mixed with the organic sky and clouds really make these photographs stunning.
